THIS IS A REAL VIRTUAL 1995 DOS PC RUNNING INSIDE YOUR BROWSER! THE COMPUTER THINKS IT'S A REAL COMPUTER AND DOESN'T KNOW!

This is a 100% non-commerical non-profit project to keep all these old programs alive for nostalgia reasons. I prefer keeping them alive than seeing them wither away on old hard drives!

I just sent you a real email to your email on here via mail.pieter.com, open Eudora Light and check your mail to read it.

You can reply to it too, click Message -> Reply, and type your message. Other people using this computer can receive your messages! To check your inbox for new emails click File -> Check Mail.

Any file you edit, any new document you make, anything you create or change is
saved right inside your browser on this computer - and it will still be here next
time you come back. Nobody else sees your changes; they are yours alone.

(NEW!) TAKE WEBCAM PHOTOS AND PRINT THEM ON THE DOT-MATRIX PRINTER!

Open the Webcam app in the Pieter.com program group to take photos of yourself
with your browser's camera, right here inside Windows 3.11. Then print your photo
on the dot-matrix printer (File -> Print). When you do, your REAL browser's print
dialog pops up and prints that exact dot-matrix printout - great to frame!

(NEW!) CHAT WITH AI AND BROWSE NOMAD CITIES!

Open PietGPT in the Pieter.com program group to chat with an AI assistant right
here inside Windows 3.11. It has a sidebar so you can keep several separate
conversations going, with a New Conversation button up top.

Open Nomads.com to browse live digital-nomad city rankings (from nomadlist) over
your dial-up connection - cost of living, internet speed, weather, air quality
and nomad score for over 1300 cities, each with a little world map showing where
it is. Pick a city on the left to see its details on the right.

Check the C:\DOCS\ folder for media files like MP3, BMP, etc. Try the Games workgroups to play Quake 1 or Doom or even Duke Nukem 3d! Oh and SimCity!

I also suggest opening mIRC first where you can chat now! Set your nickname with /nick and then your name. Yes everyone can see you! And you can chat with everyone on a real IRC server! There's an AI bot called @pieterbot in the #pieter channel you can chat with!

You can also open AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and message @pieterbot there too! And use America Online how it used to be.

WS_FTP also works, and you can download files from ftp.pieter.com, unzip them with PKZIP and run them. Like Commander Keen in GAMES/KEEN1.ZIP

Internet Explorer works and via my new proxy most sites load fine now!
